    Niklas Bakos
    CEO & Founder
    Niklas started shaping his vision around seamless advertising in late 2015 and founded Adverty shortly after. Having spent almost two decades in mobile gaming and ad tech, his experience come from various startups and leading players in the field such as Glu Mobile, Namco Bandai and StartApp. Niklas has a masters degree in Media Technology from the University of Linköping and when he's not thinking about how to disrupt digital advertising he likes to watch the latest movies and TV shows.   • Emilio Lando
    Emilio Lando
    Chief Product Officer
    Emilio was the first employee at Adverty, building up the technical foundation and teams as the CTO of the company. With a masters degree in Computer Science and Human Computer Interaction at the Royal Institute of technology, he previously founded an early stage VR game studio and completed several projects involving body trackers, hand trackers and VR equipment. He succeeded with all of that thanks to being clever, stubborn, good looking and very humble. Today Emilio serves as the master of Product at Adverty
  • Johan Bergebo
    Johan Bergebo
    Chief Technology Officer
    Johan is a modern software development leader, passionate about leading teams and growing people and products. Previously contributing to and leading Data Science and Data Engineering teams within Klarna and FinTech for 8+ years, he joined the Adverty cause in mid 2018. Studied Automation & Mechatronics at Chalmers Technical University but got restless and started his career in fraud analytics and building automated real time decision systems. When not coaching team members or planning cloud resource costs he likes to hunt footballs, discuss physics and psychology, or meditating with his electric guitar
  • Kenny Spångberg
    Kenny Spångberg
    Chief Revenue Officer
    Kenny is one of the true adtech pioneers in Sweden, starting back in 2005 where he ran DoubleClick (Google) Nordics. Kenny has also founded or been involved in the setup of various adtech startups such as Eyewonder, Platform 161 and Spongecell in the Nordics and Europe. Prior to joining Adverty as CRO, Kenny worked at GroupM as Chief Product and Partnership Officer, a role that gave him unique and deep insights to how brands and agencies view media and adtech. When not traveling the world to educate markets on in-game advertising Kenny run a horse farm together with his wife and daughter.
  • Julia Smith
    Julia Smith
    PR Director
    Julia Smith is a veteran within the digital advertising industry and started her career in digital advertising at Dennis Publishing 25 years ago and has been at the heart of the changing digital media landscape ever since. Julia has held major commercial roles both agency and media side including Associated Newspapers, The Mirror Group Newspapers, Dennis Publishing, Harvest Digital, IAB, Nexus Business Media and UPC Media. She specialises in digital communications, PR, event management, digital strategy, sales training and marketing and has expert knowledge in brand safety, fraud prevention, ethical trading, programmatic trading and ad trading. Julia was nominated for the Greatest Individual Contribution Award at the New Media Age Awards 2010. In 2016, Julia was voted by the industry as being in the top 5 Digital Trading Leaders 2016 at The Drum Digital Trading Awards. Known as 'The Voice' Julia is a regular media commentator and often invited to speak at major conferences - it is also because she likes to talk - A LOT!

    Tech Lead
    Calle joined Adverty in 2017 after finishing his masters degree in Media Technology from the Royal Institute of Technology. During his study time he spent significant amount of hours on AR and VR development. He loves to find new opportunities and ways of making the most out of the Adverty product and technology and making sure we all are prepared for future tech. On the side of Adverty he is traveling around the world as a professional pole-vaulter pursuing his dream of becoming one of the best in the world. With his 3 national titles to date he sure knows the dedication required to deliver above expectations
  • Arthur Gavkalyuk
    Arthur Gavkalyuk
    Tech Lead
    Arthur started shaping his software engineering craftsmanship back in school 20 years ago. Having experience from support of established enterprise solutions to building servers for rapidly changing startups he joined Adverty in 2017 to architect a state-of-art, fast and highly scalable adtech backend. In short periods of calm he likes to hit trees, bushes and logs on his dirt bike

    Head of Business Development
    Niklas joined Adverty in 2017 after finishing his degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics at Stockholm University. He has seven years of experience from working at companies such as Apple and Three and joined Adverty to scale the supply-side of the business. Niklas has almost the same number of limited sneakers as he has contacts in the company’s CRM. Also, do not challenge him in Mario Kart, you simply can't beat him

    Head of Sales EMEA
    Handren has been working in sales for over 15 years in companies such as H&M, Stardoll and Lindvalls Kaffe. The clothes on your back or the coffee in your cup have probably in one way or another been sold to you by him without you even knowing. Handren is an avid Manchester United supporter and visits Old Trafford as often as he can. His time outside the office is spent with his two daughters playing dress-up (and he makes one heck of a princess Jasmine)
  • Alex Ginn
    Alex Ginn
    Head of Sales UK
    Alex joined in January 2020 to fly the Adverty flag high in the UK. He has 10+ years experience working in senior sales roles within companies such as Metro/Evening Standard, Immediate Media, Sublime Skinz and most recently, as Senior Commercial Development Manager for Bidstack. Alex is the first man on the ground in the UK and will be building up a team around him over the coming years. If you ever have a question about Final Fantasy, Dragonball Z or Pokémon, Alex is your go to guy!
  • Staffan Sandell
    Staffan Sandell
    Head of Programmatic
    Staffan joined Adverty in late 2019 as Head of Programmatic and has extensive knowledge in the DSP and SSP space, having worked as a programmatic trader at Dentsu Aegis Network's global programmatic buying group Amnet. He has a bachelor degree in computer science, has executed countless programmatic campaigns for numerous world known brands, owned a restaurant and worked for the Swedish prison & probation service. He plays the piano when he doesn't think about how to monetize seamless in-game ads.

  • Joachim Roos
    Joachim Roos
    Joachim has close to 30 years experience from leading positions and as an entrepreneur in tech startups in computer systems, microelectronics, service provider networks, TV, broadcast and video streaming. Most recently, Joachim co-founded the video streaming infrastructure company Edgeware (NASDAQ:OMX). He held the position as CEO for 13 years through all phases from early ideas and raising initial capital to becoming an international business with a turnover in excess of SEK 250 million and a successful IPO on the main list on the Stockholm stock exchange. Joachim has a Licentiate of Science in Computer Engineering and a masters in Computer Science, both from Lund Institute of Technology. On his spare time Joachim enjoys travelling, the archipelago, sailing, rowing, skiing and various house construction projects
  • Mika Kuusisto
    Mika Kuusisto
    Mika is a co-founder and CEO of ENCE Esports Oy, a leading Finnish esports team competing in top of the world in several games. He comes with 15+ years of experience growing technology companies on a global scale. In addition to running ENCE Mika keeps advising early stage tech startups with their growth strategies. Previously he was a Chief Revenue Officer at Outfit7 in charge of all revenue streams for 250 MAU mobile game developer. Before joining Outfit7 he lead global business development for Unity Ads, which under his leadership grew to be one the biggest video ad network for games. He has been working with games since 2002. Mika has Masters of Science degree in Economics from the University of Vaasa. In his free time he enjoys travelling the world with his family
  • Niclas Kjellgren
    Niclas Kjellgren
    Niclas has an academy background from Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in electromagnetic wave field emission calculations. He has founded and operated multiple consultancy companies in the Swedish tech-hub Kista, with clients such as Ericsson, Nokia and Siemens for cellular base station research and development. At present primarily active in commercial real-estate development. Niclas is also continuously investing in startups with a primary focus on medtech, machine learning and AR/VR. He has extensive experience of executive board duties and general company operations and is currently appointed member of the board in fifteen Swedish companies. In his spare time Niclas likes to write code for various open source projects, enjoy the Swedish archipelago by boat and stubbornly trying to master windsurfing.

    Phil Townend
    Phil has over 20 years in the marketing industry across UK, Europe and APAC starting at Carat as a planner. He took the plunge into digital with 24/7 Media in 1999 with his previous boss telling him “internet advertising will never take off”. An online video pioneer, Phil was responsible for the world’s first ad-funded Premier League OTT video platform back in 2006. After an 8 year stint at Virgin, he joined Unruly in 2010 as UK MD. After growing the European Unruly business to six offices as European MD, he launched Unruly Singapore in April 2014. Unruly now has 12 offices across APAC spanning North Asia, ANZ, SEA and India. Phil is currently a board member of the Singapore/ SEA IAB and believes that great branded content and non-invasive ad delivery are key to preserving the future of the ‘free’ internet. He is the proud husband and father to a Eurasian family who pretend to share his love of Sheffield Wednesday FC

    Mark is an accomplished Senior Executive and Board Member with more than 20 years of success across the computer gaming, nanotechnology, internet, software, marketing, e-learning, and health & wellness industries. Leveraging extensive experience in business transformations, he is a valuable advisor for an organization going through change. His broad areas of expertise include organizational leadership, new technology development, product development, mobile application, go to market strategies, entrepreneurship, startups, and corporate governance. Throughout his executive career, Mark has held leadership positions with Evasyst, UX-fit, Imagine Intelligent Materials, Blind Squirrel Games, EvoNexus, Pyze, Kadho, Kin Wellness, Microsoft and Nokia. He is sometime mistaken for George Clooney or Robbie Williams with his dashing good looks and stunning personality

    Pierre Mårtensson
    Pierre has an enormous drive and passion for commercializing businesses globally. Over the past 20 years, he has held top management positions and led big and smaller organizations in their inte rnational expansion. He does so with a combination of being daring & disciplined with a relentless focus on execution. He was previously with one of the leading AdTech companies in the world: Tapad Inc that was sold to Telenor for $360M. Tapad was describe d by Tech Crunch as "a hell of a list of entrepreneurs who created some of the most valuable online advertising companies in the world". Not bad for a guy who was lurking the streets of Singapore in 1995 selling Electrolux vacuum cleaners where his claim o f fame was that he made it into the global top 10 list one month
  • Adam Hemming
    Adam Hemming
    Adam has been working in media and marketing for 20 years. His experience straddles multiple geographies - London, Sydney, Singapore, Madrid and Stoke! Adam started his career with Mediacom and has since worked for Carat and the Publicis Group, including 4 years as CEO of Zenith in Singapore. Adam was a full-time employee for Adverty as CRO across 2018 to 2019, but is now back in his home town of Stoke on Trent working as Marketing Director for Fiskars Group where he is helping to build the Wedgwood, Royal Doulton and Waterford brands.
