Adverty, the leading immersive advertising platform for mobile, VR and AR, has launched a new advertising campaign with Mozilla to promote the Firefox Reality browser within its ever-growing VR network of games and apps. The deal is signed with Mozilla’s media agency Fetch, a Dentsu Aegis network owned mobile specialist. The order value is not significant and therefore not disclosed.
Firefox Reality, a browser designed for use in a VR headset, was released in September this year and targets users of Virtual Reality. The advertising campaign runs through Adverty’s platform and uses images and videos in virtual reality environments delivered in a contextual and seamless manner within various games and experiences.
The order value of the advertising deal is not significant. The deal however constitutes a confirming proof of concept of Adverty’s immersive advertising platform offering.
Adverty has pioneered advertising in virtual and augmented reality since 2016, focusing on seamless integrations to minimize intrusion and preserve brand safety. Its method of advertising was recently awarded the IAB’s Gold Standard Certificate.
“We are starting to see consumers use virtual and augmented reality more and more every day and both will become increasingly important channels for consumers and advertisers going forward. We are pleased that such an innovative brand as Mozilla sees the value in what we have built and we look forward to working closely with them and Fetch to deliver a new, exciting experience for their brand and audience”, says Adam Hemming, Chief Revenue Office at Adverty.
The campaign will run for a month during December and January in USA and Japan and can be experienced in VR environments such as No Horizon, VR Thrills, VR Abyss and VR Roller Coaster amongst others.
